We planning to have an analytics dashboard using external application and we need to access the data from netsuite directly but there seems no direct way to do so. Is there any workaround to access the netsuite data through tableau directly without using any 3rd part connectors?

You are correct - there is no good way to get data out of NetSuite without a connector. Even with Cdata they will then require you purchase ODBC from NS for another 5-6k on top of their fees.
