Anyone familiar with NetSuite <> OpenAir integration knows if there’s a way to integrate NS Opportunity to OA project without creating NS Project?

From what I know and can see in terms of available workflows I don't think that is an option. I know it's possible to push data from the OA project to the NS Opportunity but there isn't a workflow as standard that would allow you to directly configure pulling data from the Opportunity record. Having said that there are so many back end switches that enable different functionality within OpenAir I would recommend asking support. The OA Project to NS Opportunity workflow itself is only available once turned on in the back end by support.

I see, was looking at this doc (https://www.openair.com/download/OpenAirNSConnectorGuide.pdf) page 153 that talked about this flow but at some point refers to leveraging an existing NS project so it didn’t fully make sense to me Will verify with OA support in that case. Thanks

We use the Opportunity to Project workflow and it involves creating a NetSuite project and all the data is pushed from that record on to the OpenAir project. No data is being sourced from the Opportunity. All the documentation I have regarding available SRP workflows between NetSuite and OpenAir doesn't show an integration workflow from the NS Opp to OA Project. They are very old as they are from our original implementation but I don't recall seeing that workflow being added in any of the subsequent upgrades but always worth checking with support and getting your name added to another enhancement request ;)
