Hi all! I have a client who wants to restrict access to employees for payroll. Currently I enter payroll through JE and you'd be able to see these entries under "salaries" in the income statement. Is there a way to restrict employees from seeing the payroll/JE? I replied to him that we would maybe only be able to restrict access to the income statement but some of them need access to view it. Is there a way to isolate just the "salaries" or JE from being visible to all employees?

JE is easy one create custom transactions type journal and restrict it to some roles only.

Would I also be able to just uncheck the transaction journal entry from their roles for them not to view?

then they will lose access to any journal entry, not just the payroll one. also, if they have access to the fin statements (by department) they will see the total anyway (but yes, not the details).

Thanks! I don't think they need access to any journal entry either way. How do I go about the fin statements by department?
There's also the issue that all of the employees have an admin role tied to their profiles besides their actual roles. I attempted once in the past to remove admin from their profiles and then suddenly they couldn't access much of anything they needed.

if you the Admin you should collect data on what they do and set up their role permissions. If everyone has Admin access there isn’t much to discuss on salaries visibilities, all will see all

right I get that. I am going through their own roles to give them access. Now I am trying to remove admin from their profiles and when I click save it gives me this pop up window. I have never seen this and then I input the info required and then it tells me to enter values for subsidiary and then I got lost at that point
It's a new user request even though I am not requesting for a new user. I am just trying to save after removing admin from their profile. They have another role on their profile already.
scratch that
