I have a controller who is able to make a JE but the option to approve is not there. We have JE approvals off, but it still requires JE approval. I confirmed that the role has full permissions to approve JE. What is my next step to give permission?

Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences : General Ledger : Require Approval on Journal Entries
