<@UG9Q7TDSP> Run the Saved Search directly, filter...

@Martin Run the Saved Search directly, filtered to the transaction, and see what;s being listed.
m
let me try that!
So I tried and the number I get is always +2 more than it should be but ONLY in Sales Orders. For every other record I get the right number. I wonder if it's a bug!
m
Did you look at each line and see where the qty was different?
m
figured it out!
it was counting 'tax line' and 'shipping line'
which are both present on a Sales Order and Invoice
I removed them from the criteria
now I have the right number in all my transactions 🙂
m
🙂 Good news!
m
thanks for your help!
Actually @markderrick if you are up for the challenge, I am run into another funny situation
I've implemented a similar concept, but for Total # of lines based on a similar saved search as this: https://netsuite.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/63428/kw/Total%20Number%20of%20Line%20Items
reflects the right number on sales orders and invoices, but seems to dismiss the first line on Item Fulfilments
m
Yup, that's a NS Defect. Remove the Mainline Filter.
Defect #280705 - Saved Search > Transactions >Type = Item Fulfillment > Main Line = F > the system excludes the first line of the item fulfillment when the item is Inventory/Non-Inventory
It's because the first line on an Item Fulfillment is Line 0, and Mainline filtering removes Line 0 - It's been an S2 Defect for the last 5 years or so.
m
Hi @markderrick, thanks for that info! Is there a way to see the list of Defects? I tried looking in SuiteAnswers but I did not find any 😞
m
No, NetSuite does not publish it's defects list - TBH, nor does anyone - business sensitive data 🙂
