Does anyone have experience with NetSuite Commissions? It's easy to split commission by creating a Team but I'm looking to have up to three different sales reps earn a commission (different %'s) on the same transaction. I'd have to do the math to calculate the commission "split" each time so I'm hoping there's an easier way around this.

Are you saying the % splits will potentially be different on each deal? Or different mix of reps?

Exactly. If every sale was split 50/50 it would be no problem. However, often there is a Rep A that will make 3% on the total revenue and Rep B would make 4% on it. On a different transaction Rep A may make 5% and Rep B would make 2%. In this case I would have to change Rep A split from 42.857% to 71.428%. Major pain.

Well, this doesn't help you any, but whoever wrote the comp plan needs to be shot. If the rules are difficult, the setup will be difficult if not impossible to implement. Not to mention it baffles the sales organization as well... they spend more time trying to figure out how much they'll earn than they do selling.

Interesting but I contacted NetSuite and you can actually do this by creating a phantom "Adjustment Rep". When added to the commission module, it negates the sales reps on the transaction that force the total commission to exceed 100%. Sales Rep 1 = 100%, Sales Rep 2 = 100%, Sales Rep 3 = 100%, Adjustment Rep = -200%.
