Hello, We have an “Advanced Inter company Allocation Journal” (4 lines, two subsidiaries) created from an “Allocation Schedule”. We would like to update the “Account” on line one, but it is “grayed out” and will not allow edit to the line item. Is there a way to update the account on the line item? Thanks!

you need to create new allocation schedule; you cannot edit this one if transactions are already posted and period is closed. Just copy the allocation, change the account number, set the start date as of today and set the original allocation to inactive

Hi, Thanks! Just to clarify, we need to update the “Advanced Inter company Allocation Journal” which was inadvertently updated by a script. So the account on line 1 is incorrect (i.e. it was updated by a script). When we put the “Advanced Inter company Allocation Journal” into edit mode, you can edit the details in the header of the record, but not the line items. I have tried to use a csv import, but it looks like I cannot update that way either. I wonder if I will need to recreate the record.

it is created from your Allocation schedule and thus is not editable. You have to do a manual adjustment
