So, if the number you see on the screen is the transaction number... what is the document number??? Where do you find it? I made the preference change... just curious.

I believe (not certain though) the document number is when you used Auto Generated numbering prefixes, like for SOs if you have SO300212 or whatever that is the doc #, and the tran # is just the 300212
