Anyone know why inventory details are required for adjusting quantity out of a location where bins are not required, but if I’m adjusting quantity into that same location it isn’t required?

If you think about it from a real-world perspective, if something is in your inventory, you should know where it's at and it should be binned if you're using bins. So you should know and document where to go get it. On the other side of it, if you receive something into your warehouse, it's in the building (Location in NetSuite), but it might be a bit before it actually gets binned, due to workers fulfilling duties or other stuff. When it actually gets put into bins is done via Bin Putaway if it's not done when the inventory is initially received.

That makes sense. Digging a little bit more, it looks like it isn’t actually a bin it’s asking for, it’s condition. Is there anyway to disable inventory status at location level like you can disable bins at location level?
Looks like default is only for incoming inventory and not adjusting out.
So then to your first point, the idea is the exact same and it looks like inventory status is just a universal setting and can’t be location specific.

You'd probably need someone else to hop in around Statuses. I know they exist, but have never used them so I'm not familiar with requirements.

yeah its the status
