I seem to recall when creating a field that is of type 'Document' - when attaching a file on this field, that file would show up under the 'Communication' > Files. Is this not the case?

I have no example where that is the case. I thought that was more about files attached to messages / emails. Sorry I don't know for sure but that sounds wrong.
