Hello Everyone, This question is in 3 parts so let me put forth here - Project Weekly Budgeting - I came across a use case where the client needs to create labour budgets for a project on a weekly basis, given that NetSuite shows only month columns in the Budget tab, is this something that is supported or can be configured / customized to do the budgeting on a weekly basis ? Project Budgeting by Resource - Again project budgeting allows to enter labour budgets which can be extended by configuring to allow by Service Item categories, but is it possible to have it a level further and specify by Employee - the purpose here is to input planned budgets of resources and than pull a comparision of budget vs. actuals Project Budget Import - We can import projects in NS, but there does not seem to be provision to import project budget, unless i am missing something here. Any ideas ?

@j.j the #C30TUASAX channel is a better place for this. I'm definitely not the most knowledgeable person on projects, but I'll give you my best understanding:
Project Weekly Budgeting - probably not. My understanding is that project budget is by fiscal period, so unless you're running fiscal periods by weeks, I doubt it.
Project Budgeting by Resource - If you enter the employee Work Calendar, I think there is some functionality to see the available time they have to be assigned as a resource to other projects. I don't currently use this piece, so it's been a couple years since I did anything with this.
Project Budget Import - This one is a little confusing. There's "Budgets" (i.e. Financial Budgets by Account) where you can also select the project here. That import is not in the main import tool. It's under Transactions > Financial > Setup up Budgets > Import. And you don't get the cool mapping feature either, you have to follow their template exactly which is a PITA.
Project Budget Import (part2) - Then there's also "Project Budgeting" (i.e. setting up project tasks with a budget and rolling those up to a cost/billing budget or manually entering this information into the cost/billing budget on the project record). This can be imported when you import project tasks and auto-calculate (again not via the standard tool) at Activities > Scheduling > Project Task > Import. I don't think there is a way to import the project budget if you're manually entering them. Maybe you could sort of get there with project templates?

@j.j Happy to help. I understand the difference between financial budget and project budgeting: what I was saying is that you can budget by project inside of your financial budgets, so which way you go depends on what exactly you're trying to do. A lot of companies I worked with wanted to roll their project budgets into their financials. In that case, financial budgets (or some outside option) is the only choice, really.
