I'm having a a heck of a time with some subsidiary related viewing problems. Is anyone familiar with the error "Permission Violation: this contact does not belong to your group." when viewing a contact with a particular subsidiary? I've confirmed the employee's role has said subsidiary in their access list, and there are no restrictions applied to the role.

According to "Resolve Error: "Permission Violation: This contact does not belong to your group." when Creating New Contact Record" SuiteAnswers ID 13832, this is related to sales rep restrictions, not subsidiary restrictions.

@James Morris Thanks, it ended up being a literal bug in NetSuite. Even with all the appropriate settings, the fix was to edit user preferences for Subsidiary visibility and save - even without changes. This forced a re-indexing of what the user could access and removed the nonsensical error.
