How can you create a 'On Order' field that excludes drop ship POs?
The current field sums all purchase order quantities. I created a search to exclude dropship POs and created an item field to reflect the value and it works. But when it comes to putting the field on a transaction line field, you cannot source from a non-stored value.. I am stuck

Are you positive your On Order field is including DS POs? Asking because natively it does not.

You can use a workflow to copy your non stored field into a stored field then use that stored field in saved searches
The most frequent it can copy data is every 30 min. But usually that is pretty good

@Nicholas LaHara, I am not positive on that one, I was told to fix it but I tested on sandbox and do not see it contributing to the total. What exactly in a PO causes it to not be included in the 'On Order' calculation? Is it the fact that it is created from a sales order or is there some other unique identifier?

I’ve always seen that drop ship orders are part of the On Order number

@Jared Fraley my understanding is that it's based on whether or not the PO is a type that will hit inventory, i.e. regular PO or special order PO. Since a drop ship PO does not impact inventory, it's excluded from the On Order quantity.
