Has anyone ever filled out a Data Tier Assessment for NetSuite? At renewal this year they want to charge an additional $8k for data storage, but can't tell me what that storage number consists of. I questioned that, and now they want me to fill this out - I feel like someone just made it up. I am looking to see if anyone in the history of NetSuite has ever filled this out.

I've never seen one of those before... It's also mad to think they cannot determine where the storage is being used!

Yep, an $8,000 bill that they cannot itemize.

She is the one I questioned, and when I said I couldn't pay without knowing what it was, she got this assessment from the 'cloud technologist' for me to fill out - but still says they can't break it down.

Do you have any integrations or scripts running on the account that are creating lots of custom records for logging purposes?

As a follow up here.. we ended up doing their assessment, but we don't have enough custom records/transactions to move us to tiered data pricing. so they gave us another 'discount', we're paying another $5k/year for storage. The bulk of the data is accumulating transaction history and system notes. The tiered data structure specifically says system notes do not count against data storage, and when I questioned this they said that's why we're getting a 75% discount. 🙄 Spoke to our rep and her manager, there was no getting out of this.

Meh...they really need to up their game if they want to do this to everyone otherwise it'll just zap all their time fighting to get people to pay.
