Is there any way to sort netsuite REPORTS (not saved searches) by the grand total of each top-level grouped line item? Atm, I have the report sorting by "total revenue" in descending order, and somehow, this is the order that Netsuite decides is correct.... lol
m
Do you have any other fields in the sort? And if you do, is the total revenue at the top?

No other fields in the sort @Michael McNamara. Any ideas?
m
Is this a report on items or customers?
f
This is a report on items @Michael McNamara

I wonder if you can add another sort for item name. Try sorting by item and then total. If not, try total and then item name.
f
Will do!
m
Other than that, You might need to create another report by copying and remove any unnecessary columns. Leave just item name, description, quantity, and total revenue. Group the item name. Then sort by revenue and this works.
f
I require the grouping in this report. Tried this and it didn't work @Michael McNamara
any other ideas?
It seems like that the sorting only works without any grouping
m
Yep! That’s the only solution.
f
So there is no way to sort top-level groupings in reports? lol
m
Nope. You could link that report to the report I just described as a way of viewing the totals.
f
Wow. I'm extremely surprised with Netsuite each day that goes by.

Sorry, what does this mean exactly?

There’s a way you might be able to do it with a saved search instead: https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17945/loc/en_US
