I'm a bit concerned with the idea of account specific urls. At first I was super excited about it. You know what's going to happen though? Bookmarks are gonna break for everyone that makes links to pages that don't have the star. Custom center links will have to be remade (potentially). think deployed bundles like Avalara or FAM. Little things like this are going to break.
c
Why would Avalara break? Last I checked the integration didnt care about the target account. Engine credentials are stored in the target account and reach outward

I hope that NetSuite is smart enough have the old URLs (e.g. in users' shortcuts) at least redirect to the new account specific URL. At least let there be a transition period where both URLs work.
t
Is that testable?
j
The release notes say it will hit sandboxes first before production accounts

Hmm

I'm talking about custom center links- pieces that redirect you within netsuite to another page. if they are created using a URL i.e. system2.netsuite.com/stuff to account.app.netsuite.com/stuff - that URL won't work anymore They'll need to be updated to the new account specific URL.
I'm sure Avalara will be fine - they have lots of folks that I'm sure are playing around with 2019.1 stuff now
j
Yeah I'm concerned about users who create dashboard shortcuts by just copying and pasting the whole URL. Also, external forms (like online customer and support case forms) that have already been distributed / linked on other websites

Avalara is less on top of things than you might imagine...
