@Noel You would need to edit the Period record and tick in "allow non-gl posting change". I believe that should allow you to change the billing address, unless changing the adress causes some other recalculation that would affect the GL.
c
changing the address on a transaction is considered Tax Relevant and even if no net change is not allowed
o
@C_Billings Shipping or Billing? Billing address isn't normally used for tax, right?
c
I would swear we encountered this with Billing address and were ticked about it.
o
Guess Noel is about to find out...
c
Technically Billing should be used for Tax Calculation but thats just the real world.
just checked in a Legacy Tax Account...system keeps reverting to prior billing address...doesnt warn you just doesnt accept the change despite Non GL changes allowed
l
correct, i have had an enhancement in for this for year. It changed I think in 2016. let me find my enhancement and you can vote for it. My company doesn't tax at all, so this has been a major issue for my billing team

With SuiteTax being the future all Legacy Tax enhancements should be expected to be ignored. They aren’t planning on adding anything to it.
