@mg2017 I just noticed your message about new transactions remembering your last entry. there is a setting in User Preferences (Set Preferences -> Transactions) called "Auto Fill Transactions" (If you check this box, information on transaction pages is automatically filled in based on the last transaction for the entity you have chosen.). You may want to see if that's checked.
