Is there a setting or permission to have a custom record available in datasets? Quite a few of my custom records aren't shown in Analytics

Hi, visibility in the dataset should be driven by Access Type setting on the custom record and eventually permissions granted to your role. Also _UI Access setting (_again on custom record) can do the job

No Permission Required

and

Allow UI Access

is checked

all good then 🙂 are you not able to see your custom record when creating new dataset and use it as a root record or are you missing join to it in your existing dataset?

The custom records don't show up when creating new datasets. I haven't checked to see if they show up for joins

hi again, it seems like that record type has to be exposed for searching so it becomes available also for datasets, try to check Include in search menu, that should do the job, UI Access does not matter at the end.
