Hi all, We need to make an edit to a journal entry in a closed period. It's a non-GL change, but we can't seem to edit it with a role with Allow Non-GL changes (locked). Do you know what would cause this? Any way around it without opening the period? The closed period allows non-GL changes.

Has the Override Period Restrictions permission been enabled as well?

@martha what role are you doing this with? Should be fine with Admin role

Is it a reversing entry? I don't think you can edit those, you'd have to edit the originating entry.

Hi all, It's not a reversing entry. We have approvals on for JEs. Editing the record will make it so that the status goes to “pending approval.” Could this be the source of the issue?

your approval workflow might have a Lock record action after the approval (best practice). Just add an exception for certain roles in that workflow action
