Hi - Trying to confirm or deny...  Can an inventory item be converted direct into a serialized inventory item?  Retaining transactions... or do I have to create a new item.

Thanks.  My user was SURE NetSuite GUARANTEED it could be done during implementation, so I needed to double check.

Are you looking to track serialization through the entire process or just on the outbound process for warranty purposes?

To be fair to whoever was completely confused - you can use regular inventory items as components on a serialized assembly. (You can't do the inverse)

That said, I'd never phrase that as turning an inventory item into a serial item.
