Do you know how to add a custom field to an account, like the ones under Setup -> Accounting -> Accounting Lists?

Customization -> List/Records/Fields -> Other Record Fields maybe?

That was my bad, I did say Account, but I meant Accounting Lists, like the one under this

Setup -> Accounting -> Accounting Lists -> New. Are you in admin role? If not, check with your admin for permissions.

yes, but that route you sent is for the creation of the list itself, what i want is to add a new field on the record that gets created, like when creating a new Project statu (Setup -> Accounting -> Accounting Lists -> New -> Project Status) I get a page with the fields Name, Description and Inactive. Id like to add another field in there.

Oh i see, sorry i understood, I should read the whole convo. I dont think this is possible without dev intervention. 😞

@irurzo that’s exactly the difference in custom list (1 array) vs custom record (multiple arrays). When such a need arises, there’s an option on the list to convert it to a record, which is where you can add a field to it.
