When I go to Customization -> Scripting -> Scripts it seems to always default back to Workflow Action Scripts with Bundle blank. Is there a reason why this list doesn’t remember what I previously was searching?

I've found that this is completely random - I'd assumed that it was an instance-wide user-independent setting, so if somebody else changed it when you weren't on the page, that's what you'd see next time
