I'm looking for one report that shows both time and expenses from projects--is this possible? I saw SA 37746 but I don't have Advanced Projects.

Not sure if these are included as part of advanced projects, but have you looked at the Job Burn Report?

it has been a bit since we've used them but I believe the pitfall of these for us was that if there was _only_ time on a job, it wouldn't show on this report. It has to have some type of transaction to show up

So the time shows up as a journal entry when you use the post time feature. Then you can use a transaction search to look at expenses and journals to get both time and expenses

There is a posted time join on a transaction search so you know what journal is related to what time entry
