i know quickbooks has the ability to automatically record transactions from the bank through bank rules so i don't have to match bank data with the accounting system transactions. can the same be done in netsuite to automatically record bank transactions directly into the GL?

Auto-create rules and automated cash applications which I think are applicable only to certain transaction types like Deposit, Check, Credit Card Charge/Refund, Journal, Customer Payments (not to Bill Payments).
