Hi, I am looking for the Netsuite projects functionality to understand what features it offers, etc. Can someone please share if there is any ppt or demo which explains the features of NetSuite projects functionality?

Hi Sam, do you know what is the difference between project management module and suite projects?

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you're referring to because they like to change names of stuff (and I haven't dealt with projects for a while), but at one point there was kind of a "basic" projects module and an Advanced version. Basic projects are not technically their own record, they're basically just subcustomers and they don't allow a ton of functionality beyond tagging transactions and rev rec, etc Where the Advanced Projects is more of a full project suite where you can do all the fancy stuff outlined in this PDF. My guess is that might be the difference between the two products you're mentioning.

Thanks for your response. Are you referring to the pdf that Sam shared or did you attach any other PDF? I also worked on a project module more than 5 years ago and I implemented basic and advanced projects but, never heard of suite projects before so wanted to check what additional features it is offering. One more question. I understand that advanced projects don't give access to external consultants to submit their time. I think it can only be done via openair. Please let me know what all features it offers.

you are right that is why NS never shoe horned OpenAir in Netsuite like they did with monexa to suitebilling. More revenue stream

Unfortunately @NS User I am nowhere near an expert on Projects. I was referring to the PDF Sam attached. My guess is SuiteProjects is just the new name for what I was calling Advanced Projects (gotta have that branding consistency!!), but I don't know for sure. That doc Sam shared is the more Advanced version. And then there was SRP....which has some additional functionality I don't remember. Could be that is what they're now calling SuiteProjects too.

I agree one of my freelance client have this and it ain't pretty. They opted to implement Mavenlink couple of years ago to circumvent this.
