Dear Community, What is the best way to display coolers, which are used to store goods that need to be refrigerated, in NetSuite?

If you use bins, then you can use the cooler number as a bin number

Are you asking about it from a possible sku or bin standpoint? Or possibly just best practices overall on how to list goods in Netsuite?

1. To know internally which coolers are currently in use and what their capacity are. 2. They could also be used as packages which need to be sent back by the client.

If the cooler is a product storage location, and you'd like the capability of calculating available capacity (for putaway, consolidations, reporting etc.), you would have to define the cube (or volume) of the eligible products to be stored and the cubic capacity of the cooler. Other storage rules can apply (i.e. single SKU only vs. mixed SKU's, FIFO, lot control, etc.) This is not uncommon in an advanced WMS..NS does offer Advanced Bin Management but still lacks advanced WMS features. Also, the cooler is an equipment piece and can be unavail due to maintenance or disrepair. The capability to manage this is limited to a simple active vs inactive status in NS. Yea...a long answer, but the use case needs to be fully defined.
