No way to see who deleted a saved search right? I was able to recreate the search from Sandbox, but would like to know who did deleted it from production.

There's a Deleted Records search, but I don't know if it tracks Saved Searches. If not, I don't think you'd be able to find it anywhere else.

Short answer is no. The best way to avoid that is to set the permissions for the search so they can alter or delete it.
