Is there a suiteql table that maps files attached to records?
b
Use the Records Catalog. Find the record type you want. Then look under the Joins tab, and find Files.
s
tried that before bothering to post the question, came up empty
b
Which record type?
s
I'm looking for files attached to transactions
b
Ah, transactions. I usually just use a saved search for those. 🤷‍♂️
s
aye, I guess I'm trying to figure out how to do the same as the native "File" join in saved searches instead in SuiteQL
b
Did you mean to say SuiteQL instead of saved searches?
s
exactly
I'm guessing [hoping] there is some mapping table that just doesn't appear in an obvious place in the records catalog...
b
Yeah true. Sometimes that does happen. The world may never know.
I'll be interested to know if you ever find it.
s
I'm hoping some guru will stumble upon this thread and enlighten our world
j
The sidebar navigation in the Records Catalog is incomplete
FYI
for example there is no entry for TransactionLine other than revRecEventTranLine
but if you manipulate URL you can find the normal transactionline entry
s
right, I've noticed a few places where tables referenced in the details don't have an entry in the master list
j
I think it’s often when the record name is the same but the table name differs
sorta the opposite of the shitshow that is the Analytics Browser

I can't find anything on attachments in either place
j
yo dawg I heard you liked accounting books
I’m not much help unfortunately, we use Box for documents attached to transactions.
s
@Shawn Talbert I've wasted so much time looking for this (the amount of work arounds I'll be removing once you find it .... )

this is seriously bugging me now
s
same - I really expected this to be an easy one
s
While we are on topic of complaining about missing links I'll add missing link between Vendor bills and inbound shipment item (though they reference each other on the UI)

Summon @tdietrich he may know

lol

I've never found a join table between transactions and related files. It might have something to do with SuiteQL not supporting any BLOB columns. This seems to be one of those SuiteQL "blind spots" that we run into from time to time. But I this one is a big one. Maybe someone with a good relationship with NetSuite can open a ticket?
j
I’m pretty sure I have a black mark on my file for being hostile with support too many times
s
don't cross a crosstrek owner!
s
I doesn't hurt to try, I'll open a ticket and copy my account manager
so 25 days later, i have a issue number 673527 please vote, (not that i think that voting ever matters...[in netsuite])
