Now that I think about it a little more, I'm fairly sure I saw a version of it before 2018, when they were still calling it just "the new reporting engine." But the years run together and with Covid, time has no meaning so who tf knows. I do remember they had a tech guy standing by in the room that they were presenting to try and fix stuff on-demand if needed because it had been crashing so much. e: had to look it up. This would have been the last SW in San Jose in 2016. They must have built out a bunch before asking for feedback, which makes sense.
