So.. super weird, but Netsuite is showing the period is closed for May for AP and AR but we are still able to post transactions. Does anyone know how that is possible?

Locked or Closed? If just AP and AR are locked, but the period isn't closed (green check marks for every single step), Administrators and anyone with the Override Period Posting permission will be able to post stuff.

Yeah, I found out that the Override Period Restrictions permission was the issue

We want to have the permission, but keep the warning popup that comes up when the permission isn't there, so maybe a workflow is in order.
