Is there a place that I can see how long scripts takes to run on certain records?
e
Thank you @battk Do you know how much of an impact the physical location of our server has on our loading times? We are located on the west coast but are on an Ashburn VA server... if we were on the Seattle server, would we see noticeable differences when saving records?
b
theoretically yes, in practice no
netsuite is slow enough in general that you cant tell

So when I get these results - are my User Event scripts considered in the "Server Suite Script" line, or the "Server" line?
and maybe the bigger picture question is.... Is 35 seconds to save a Sales Orders "normal"?
b
server is all work done on the server
including server suitescript
the server's physical location affects the network timing
e
So if I've been tasked with "speeding up NetSuite"... is there anything I can do about Server time?
b
not really, you can check with support
at best, you help the load time by disabling all the server scripts and workflows
e
but even doing that would only reduce the Server time by ~6 seconds, is that correct?
b
yes
e
and hopefully my last question... what accounts for the Server time that ISNT scripts and workflows? Is that just the time it takes to write data to the database and then display it back to the user?
b
should be more than that
there should be an application server in there generating the page
e
but generally speaking, nothing I could "get rid of"?
b
you have little control over the server
besides the scripts and worfkows

Noted - I appreciate all your knowledge on this
