Is there a way to have something like a sales orders to have "auto generate" & "allow override = false" but allow a 3rd party app still send in their on SO numbers? Basically we need all systems, except 1, do have an auto generated so number. So234234. and then when they send theirs in, allow them to set it to whatever they want

@screnshaw Read twice what @battk sent! Using autonumbering without "Generate Document number on Save" is road to hell. Especially if you have an integrations for creating documents. We ran into situations that we have got DOUBLED the same document number when performing stress test (too. much requests in short time)
