Hello - We are importing Sales Orders into NetSuite using a third party service that captures all the fields and information to create an order. When orders are imported and created it doesn't calculate shipping cost. Anyway around this? Has anyone done anything similar?

Is there a shipping method selected in the SO? And does that shipping method have shipping calculation setup?

I tried a similar service and they weren't able to calculate the shipping cost on the sales order. You'd have to edit it I believe and select Calculate Shipping for it to work unfortunately (hopefully you find a solution because I know how frustrating that is). EDIT: Just clarifying that this is the auto calculation from your 'Shipping Method' You should still be able to import the actual shipping cost from the import if it's not an auto-calculation

@Luis no, no method on the SO, these orders are emailed purchase orders. The service grabs all the information from the document and creates an order into NetSuite.
@Jordan Fitch I was afraid that would be the case. I agree, if the information included method and cost this would convenient but unfortunately it is not.

I want to say there's a field in a CSV import mapping for allowing it to calculate shipping. Maybe figure out what that field is and see if there's a comparable field on web services?
