What is the industry average for 5 years of experience?

it's from Robert Half that's why pay is HALF. I also got that email few days ago - felt like replying to him with harsh comments, then realized, why should I waste my time in replying to this bull crap LOL

I just ignore emails from Robert half, I agree , Robert half has the worst beginning offer, even if you negotiate, I don't think they would go higher than 75- 80

Currently I am charging $150 CAD or $125 USD when I do consulting on the side, this $55 rate is even lower than most of the Anderson Frank's rates.

That's a tricky question tbh, it depends on who you get, they got so many different people, most of them are sales people imo, for e.g. if you are not a developer and it says it's required few will tell you it's nice to have, few will tell you okay, I will see if I have better fit for you, and few will tell you oh! Don't worry they just put it on there. Same goes for third party integration like celigo, salesforce, magento. And another annoying thing about AF is everyone will ask you the same darn questions, I am like don't you guys share notes or put things in a common place

Its $55 W2. Meaning no benefits and 40% tax rate so its more like $33/hr w/ no benefits. Terrible deal IMO. I also charge about what @Sam-I-Am does. Its cheaper than NetSuite and you aren't ripping off clients. A plumber is almost $200/hr here so I don't feel too bad
