We have standard fields that are hidden to users/roles via custom forms and workflows. Is there a way to prevent those roles or users in accessing the standard fields via reports/saved searches/workbook. The analytic tools basically override our internal control (hiding certain fields). In custom fields, we can define separately the access level via the record and the access level for search/reporting.

I don't think so. Might have to make a copy of the search and remove the unwanted fields. Then give those roles permissions to the new search and not the other one

Even with scripting?

Not sure scripting can effect reports and searches like that
