Hi guys - I'm implementing Intercompany Transfer Orders. The bulk of the process isnt a problem, but the request is that we need to move the items from their usual location to a "Goods Outwards" type area first, then send the items out to the intercompany warehouse. How do you guys handle this? Thanks in advance!

Question is if you need this to be a bin or location? Should the inventory asset value still be displayed under the source location until it's transferred out or does this outward location have a sepaate inv asset value on the books? This will determine if you utilize an Inventory Transfer or Bin Transfer. You could build a Saved Search or Analytics Workbook to provide the reporting needed for the quantities that need to be put in the Goods Outward area.

@Rich Keller The discussions around this has been that it should be a location, but a bin could also be a potential. So the way of doing this is to do a manual inventory transfer out of stock location, into goods outwards, and then transfer order out from goods out? Thanks for your input fella.

@Mika Hakkinen are you using WMS? If yes then outbound staging bin could be your goto solution.
