just curious, are there a bunch of subsidiaries in this account?  Sounds like poorly built criteria behind the scenes

yeah I wonder if those restrictions behind the scenes are tacking on some giant `(sub is 1) or (sub is 2) or (sub is 3) or (sub isnot 4) etc`

you could try tacking something similar onto your admin query and see if the suspicion is somewhat true

I suspect that there's something like that on the backend.

I've tried three identical roles now where the only difference is what subsidiaries they have access to.
All = good performance
One subsidiary = good performance
80 subsidiaries = having a bad day...
