@mattb I suspect we have the same issue here. on the bank feeds audit trail page, i see it talks to the bank at 10:13pm every night, but no new transactions get transferred
m
100% my experience too. NAB?
j
yes NAB
did you report direct to netsuite?
m
via my netsuite vendor who then went to netsuite direct. defect 627534. perhaps you can add to that defect to get it moving?
j
thanks
I'll raise it directly with NS
m
not surprisingly it is urgency level 7 🙃
😢 1
j
did you try setting up for any other banks?
m
have not. just keen on getting it going with nab
j
when setting up NAB, did you need to ask for a specific user to have a password? All of our users use the app or those little OTP generators
j
@Jon Kears we have that too, but it does not work with that login afaict. I had to use my NAB Internet Banking long -
login
it's so dodgey as you have to input your details into the saltedge website
but I decided to accept that and proceed
j
hmm 🤔
m
Yeah it wants the username/password. I guess other than some other token-based authentication method it needs to get the data somehow
j
damn - NS have added my case to 627534 - U7 -Not planning to fix it
is there nothing one can do about this? surely they should complain to saltedge or something
"The alternate solution is to the Rebuild the Connection in the Format Profile record > Connectivity Configuration tab."
@mattb did you try that?
m
yeah that’s the first thing i tried
j
I asked why it was marked as U7 won't fix. their reply: "The reason behind the urgency level of U7 is due to an internal process. As of this moment, we are requesting from the team managing the defects to raise it to a higher urgency level so that the issue will still be fixed. We will let you know once the urgency is raised but as of this moment, our engineers are currently investigating the issue."
j
we had the same thing with a fixed assets issue last month. Eventually got hotfixed three days later, so maybe there is hope
j
@Jon Kears good to know - I won't hold my breath though 😉
j
we have an sftp mailbox with NAB so it looks like I can set that up as an alternative. It just means changing to PEM file formats which involves openssl. Pain. And then hoping the file that NAB put in there is compatible
m
so a custom bank import and reconciliation process of sorts?
j
yeah that's right
We could also use middleware (workato for us) to grab the files and convert them if that doesn't work but I really don't want to give our middleware direct access to our bank
m
that’s the challenge: i had never heard of saltedge which is sitting in the middle of the netsuite native solution. i guess they’re ok oracle are working with them and they’ve been around for awhile? but who knows
j
yeah
m
surely xero started off with some middleware to handle all the bank feeds
just picking on xero who i feel popularised the whole bank feed thing
j
so after the initial import which imported the last week or so's transactions that I now need to remove as they duplicate what was already imported via QIF files and reconciled. Is there some way to delete those transactions?
m
what a mess 😮 not sure mate
j
So the NS "alternate" fix of "Rebuild the Connection in the Format Profile record > Connectivity Configuration tab". It also works once then no new transactions after that. I queried NS about this and they said "no, you need to do that every day to get the new transactions"
m
lol
j
🙂
m
my last reply is:
Thank you for your email.
Please be advised that we are already working to bumping this to a higher U-level. We will keep you posted of the progress.
j
yes, I had a similar response from them too. I just hope lots more people report it so it gets fixed
Good news, I just got notifcation that 627534 has been moved to U5 - Status changed from Open - Pending Investigation to Open - Under Investigation
m
got the same notifiation!
