Hi everyone, I added a new line item in an existing subscription, (SO closed) and followed the steps to add new add-on. On the SO I get a warning that says "At least one subscription line has changed. This Sales Order will not be updated because it is closed." How do I get it to update?

Hi Sue, I do not think there is a way to get the Sales Order and Sub back in sync after the sales order goes to closed. I have not found any, known issue for us.

Hi Rachel, Thank you for the reply. I find it odd that NetSuite allows you to create an amendment, and add a new add-on to the subscription, but the SO won't get updated. Does this mean that if I want to amend a closed, but active subscription, I should just create a new SO?

Hi Sue, we simply process the change order w/o updating the SO. All of our recurring billing reporting is done by subscriptions so we do not have a need to keep SO updated/synced. However, when we have hardware add-ons that also include a subscription add-on, we do process an SO for just the hardware add-on and a change order for the related maintenance add-on. Cumbersome process but then again NS does not always make it easy
