@Larry Woo You can, but you MUST set a value in the Estimated End Date field on the Subscription body. If you do not, ARM will refuse to create a revenue plan.
I recommend using a WF or other method so that the Estimated End Date is always the same as the end date of last (max) Charge period on the Subscription.

No worries @Larry Woo You don't need to map the estimated end date to anything. It just needs to be there and NS will pick it up, is my recollection.
