Does anyone calculate sales tax based on the ship to in the header for destination states? We are trying to implement a sales tax software, and they will only calculate tax at the line level. We can’t be the only company who uses the header location, so hoping to see if there are workarounds.

Most companies that I've worked with have had to use the Line-Level because of the product mix that they sell. Different States have different rules for each product line and when you sell a product mix, you need to deal with line-level tax analysis

We do have the tax on the line level, but our issue is with the origin states. We have a warehouse location on the line that is native for the fulfillment, but the store that sells the product is on a custom field. Avalara is saying they can’t use this custom field, which basically puts us dead in the water.

@Lisa L Native Avalara is like that but if you have a SuiteScript developer, you can modify the REST package that is sent to Avalara to leverage the Location/Warehouse Location that you have on the Sales Order/Invoice header.
