Good morning! Not sure this is the correct channel for this question, but.... Is it possible to use a custom field as an external ID? We have two systems that will be sending contacts to Netsuite. One integration is already in place, and the the Netsuite external ID is the ID from that external system. Is there a way to have a second external ID on the contact that would hold the ID of the second system?

You would just create a custom field and ensure that users cannot easily change it in the UI by managing the permissions. Then you point your secondary integration to that custom field.

Hi @Rebecca - this second integration won't be an integration to start. It will use manual CSV imports. Would a custom field for extID2 allow us to update Netsuite records using that field instead of using Netsuite's internal or external IDs?

Nope. You will need the NetSuite ID in the external system for best results.
