@Joanna Curtis - you would want to track your assets individually (perhaps, assigned to custodian?). you may want to upload the VB with the serial numbers; then it will be easier to propose and manage assets. You should be able to ask a csv file from the vendor.

Thanks @Karina. So are you usually importing the bill with 100 separate lines? Instead of doing one line with an item quantity of 100?

i would say - if you need to keep track of serialized assets separately (often the case) you want to upload VBs and then convert them into FAM. If you do not see foresee ever separating this asset of 100, then have it as one asset.

It’s possible to skip VB upload and import new assets in bulk to FAM which serialised and link those to bill and PO. This might be suitable to avoid slowing the AP process as not all AP accountant would be well versed with managing uploads

you must have those VBs and POs already in NS - otherwise data does not get accepted into FAM

True, that's an idea too. I also learned about the "split" functionality that will do it somewhat automatically during the proposal process. As of right now, we're planning to try that route.
