New to importing Matrix items. I can get the import to add by color but not by color AND size. Template comes through as expected and the size is filled in, but the naming isn't doing as we'd expect. So ex. 1100-Red-S But it's just coming through 1100-Red. The size is mapped and the matrix name template looks correct and it's showing all lines imported, but only the two children (two colors) were created.

did you try using internal ID for 1100- red-s?

No, since these are all new items.

you can separate it by pipe

for us this field seems to map automatically using the csv import assistant as long as you use the name

we had to use the Matrix Item Assistant to create a dummy item with all possible options just to make sure that the relevant Item Options are created and configured in tandem with the Custom Item Field and the Custom Lists

Yeah that's what I was suggesting, you can do two step process, you can create matrix list first and then just reference internal ID
