Is there any way to stop Revenue Arrangements from being created against sale transactions (other than marking an item record as 'direct revenue posting')? We have instances where we don't want certain transactions flowing through ARM (but yet other transactions, that use the same items, will). I had heard that perhaps there was either a scripting way or plugin way to do this? Anyone know?

Will changing the Rev Rec Rule in the Revenue Element work for you? Say from something else to Default Standard (which posts the revenue to one period only). It will still flow through ARM but will be posted to one period only while maintaining the same item.
