@Luis - it calls for Fair Value set up. You need to do your analysis first to assure (with the auditors, perhaps) your revenue allocation is correct; once there you need to create Fair Value formulas and assign this fair value to your items in the package of licenses + maintenance + installation + whatever else you have
l
In the SO, we don't plan to include the IMPLICIT POs so when we issue the Invoice the customers won't see them as well. But how I am supposed to include the implicit PO now in the Revenue Arrangements if I did not include it on the SO (bc I don't want to show them on the Invoice for customers)?
k
@Luis - you can have a kit created
l
If 1/3 is implicit, I still need to show the two expressly on the SO. Haven't used kit before but from I understand it either allows you to show ALL the components or not show anything at all. If I need to show 2/3, isn't that a problem?
k
you have one kit item with the implicit item and another non-kit item(s)
l
But the customer will still see the kit item which is the implicit one (or can I just remove it on advanced pdf template?)?
k
you set your kit item NOT to show included items, that’s all
l
And it won't show even the kit ITSELF?
k
it will show you the kit - but you can name it as you wish and add as many items in it as you need
if you do not want a customer to see something, hide it into the kit
what you want your customers to see can be added as a stand long item

You could also use Item Groups, which are similar to Kits, but the component items will "display" on SO so you could manually add/remove them. Or have a checkbox or something on the line item to "show on invoice" and use Adv PDF coding to show it or not. Note I'd be careful with Item Groups if your orders are coming from another platform-Salesforce for instance. Due to the way Groups "expand" when added, it creates a bunch of headaches for integrations.

@Karina thank you! Kit seems working but I need to test it further in case it has limitations compared to other item types when used in conjunction with ARM.
k
yes it does, @Luis! you are welcome!
