How can I change the purchase price of an Inventory Item for the sole Vendor we purchase it from? Ultimately I need the next Purchase Order to populate with the new price. I can't edit to the price on the Purchase Order and editing the price for the item in the Purchasing/Inventory -> Vendors subtab doesn't persist when I save the item record.

What is your role? Usually, purchase order prices should be editable unless you selected a purchase contract. If so, it will follow the price from the purchase contract.

I am using the Administrator role. The fields

rate

and

amount

are editable per item on the Purchase Order, but after saving the record, it reverts to the last purchase price and I can't figure out why.

haven’t encountered that yet. what’s the status of that purchase order? are there any succeeding related transactions like item receipts or vendor bills or bill payments? are you also sure that they did not use a purchase contract?
