In the current iteration of searching, the transaction line fields are not separated out in any particular way from the body fields. Whatever the name of your custom column is should show up as a filter. Are you also using the

. I think part of my issue is that the information I'm seeking to filter on is "inside" the Sales Order, not a field on the SO, if that makes sense.

Your mainline filter is the problem

That was it! Thanks for your help and insight! I got into the habit of using "main line" when I was doing a lot of SO general searches and kept being overwhelmed with the shear number of resulting lines. You and @suitemike have been most helpful!!
