is it possible to select which sales invoice form will be used for the invoice at SO entry time?

You have Transaction Forms - and you can have Transaction PDF / Advanced PDFs

There's a relationship between the transaction form and the printing layout.

If you have multiple Transaction Forms - then it will utilize the form that's in the drop down.

You can also make a SO -&gt; Invoice form link on the linked forms tab

No problem - I misunderstood your question, started answering it and then realized what you were really asking haha

thanks. sometimes it's hard to formulate exactly how to ask the question

and often, the process of formulating it tells you your answer - normally after you've started explaining it to someone else! haha

mostly we don't currently set the Invoice form on a SO, and it just uses the preferred form. but for some customers we want to be able to select a different form. this looks like the method to do it

You might be able to use workflow or script to force the form too if it's just the 1 customer

though - beware of using workflows and forms. Funny shit happens with it.

in this instance it is for our web retail customers. we use a csv import to import the orders. I think it's easiest just to make a custom SO form for those orders
